Swedish Full Body Massage

Our Swedish Full Body Massage course provides comprehensive training in the techniques and principles of Swedish massage therapy. You will learn various massage strokes such as effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement and vibration, applied to the entire body. The course covers anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy, client consultation, contraindications and proper body mechanics. Practical hands-on training sessions allow you to develop proficiency in delivering Swedish massage treatments. Upon completion, you will receive certification, enabling you to practise professionally in spas, wellness centres or as a freelance massage therapist.

Swedish Massage originated in Sweden in the 1830's and is one of the most common types of massage found in health retreats, salons and spas today.  Its movements include actions such as percussion, kneading, rolling and vibration.  It is a therapeutic massage with benefits of muscle relaxation, deep tissue targeted massage, increasing blood circulation, loosening muscle tension.

    • Vibration (fine, trembling or shaking movements)
  • Proper body mechanics and ergonomics:
    • Maintaining correct posture and body alignment
    • Preventing strain and injury during massage sessions

Upon completing the Swedish Full Body Massage course, you'll receive an accredited qualification for insurance purposes. Verify that your insurer covers the treatment without additional fees. While insured on the training day, you must arrange your own insurance thereafter. Existing policyholders should add the new service to their policy. Insurance remains your responsibility.
