  • Microneedling

Understand the intricacies of microneedling, a popular and minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. Microneedling involves the use of fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. Learn the physiological responses triggered by these micro-injuries, such as collagen and elastin production, leading to skin rejuvenation and improved texture.

  • Chemical Peel

Understand the diverse range of chemical agents utilised in peels, each designed to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin by removing damaged outer layers. Learn about the intricate mechanisms behind chemical peels, elucidating the physiological responses that lead to improved skin tone, reduced pigmentation, and the amelioration of various dermatological concerns.

  • A&P of the Skin

Explore the Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) of the skin, laying the foundation for a comprehensive understanding of the body's largest organ. Understand the intricate structures and functions of the skin, gaining insights into its various layers, appendages, and physiological processes. The curriculum begins with an in-depth examination of the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue, elucidating their roles in maintaining skin integrity and function. Learn about the vascular and nervous systems within the skin, understanding their contributions to circulation, sensation, and overall skin health.

  • Vitamin B12, C, D, Biotin

Understand the essential role of key vitamins – B12, C, D, and Biotin – in maintaining skin health and overall well-being. Learn about the physiological functions of each vitamin, understanding their impact on skin structure, function, and appearance. Look at the role of Vitamin B12, elucidating its crucial role in cell metabolism, DNA synthesis, and red blood cell formation. Explore how deficiencies in Vitamin B12 can manifest in skin-related issues and learn about its potential benefits in aesthetic contexts. Understand Vitamin C its antioxidant properties and its vital role in collagen synthesis and how it contributes to skin elasticity, protection against oxidative stress, and overall skin rejuvenation.

  • Consultation, Medical and Consent Requirements

Understand the pre-treatment processes that form the foundation for ethical and effective practice. Learn about the consultation process, emphasising its significance in understanding clients' needs, expectations, and medical history. Understand the various types of dermal fillers, their compositions, and their applications in aesthetic treatments. Learn about the science behind dermal fillers, exploring how these substances interact with facial tissues to achieve desired outcomes such as volume restoration, wrinkle reduction, and facial contouring. Understand injection techniques, including anatomical considerations, depth of injection, and the use of different filler densities for specific areas of the face. Practical demonstrations and hands-on training enable participants to develop the skills necessary for precise and effective dermal filler administration.

  • Botulinum Toxin

Understand the various Botulinum Toxin brands, their formulations, and their mechanisms of action. Learn about the science behind Botulinum Toxin, exploring how it temporarily inhibits muscle contractions to address dynamic wrinkles and lines effectively. Learn essential injection techniques, including anatomical considerations, dosage calculations, and precise placement for optimal results. Practical demonstrations and hands-on training enable participants to develop the skills required for accurate and safe administration of Botulinum Toxin treatments.
