How the course runs….

You will learn how to safely administer dermal filler and botulinum toxin at basic and advanced levels over a period of time. Insurance, stock, and prescriber details will also be given.

You will be emailed some start-up documentation to read and sign. As soon as we have your start-up paperwork and certificates emailed back to us.

The course theory work will be emailed out to you

This theory work will consist of –     (Theory work must be referenced) (A portfolio will be required of your work)

SAQ’s x 4 units (300-word answers are required for each question)

2x Assignments ( 3000 words are required for each assignment)

4 x Assessment Days (Minimum) split up throughout the year

Once theory work has begun, it is to be sent in via email and marked by the course tutor, your practical sessions will then be booked in. 

There will be 4-8 practical / theory days spread out throughout the year that you can attend for training and assessments.  You will be required to attend here at the academy. Which will consist of demonstrations followed by your Practical sessions to practice and sit assessments in aesthetic treatments. Models will be provided by the academy and can be brought by the learner also.

Depending on your prior knowledge will depend on the number of days you are required to attend.

The practical Modules you will learn are –

  • Botulinum foundation 3 areas upper face
  • Botulinum advanced lower face 8 areas including the neck
  • Dermal Filler Foundation (nose-to-mouth smile lines and marionettes)
  • Dermal Filler Lip Augmentation
  • Dermal Filler Advanced Cheek Augmentation

The course is made up of 4 mandatory units assessed by assignments, Questions, and practical assessments.

Facial Aesthetics Consultation: This unit focuses on developing the skills necessary to conduct thorough and professional consultations with clients seeking facial aesthetic treatments. Students learn to assess clients' needs, expectations, and medical histories, as well as to communicate effectively and manage client expectations.

Psychology of Facial Aesthetics: In this unit, students explore the psychological aspects of facial aesthetics, including the motivations, expectations, and emotional responses of clients undergoing aesthetic treatments. Understanding these psychological factors enables practitioners to provide holistic care and support to their clients.

Botulinum Toxin Injections to the Face and Neck: Students learn the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to administer botulinum toxin injections for facial rejuvenation purposes. This includes understanding facial anatomy, injection techniques, dosage calculation, and the management of potential side effects.

Temporary and Reversible Dermal Fillers to the Face and Neck: This unit covers the use of temporary and reversible dermal fillers for facial enhancement and volumisation. Students learn about different types of fillers, injection techniques, facial anatomy considerations, and how to achieve natural-looking results while minimising risks.

Management of Complications and Medical Emergencies: Students are trained to recognise, manage, and respond to complications and medical emergencies that may arise during or after aesthetic procedures. This includes understanding the signs and symptoms of complications, implementing appropriate interventions, and providing emergency care to ensure patient safety and well-being.
