VTCT and NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy

Our Beauty Level 2 is the foundation to start your beauty career, once completed you can then advance to our level 3 beauty therapy course. This qualification will provide you with the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as a beauty therapist. Throughout this qualification you will learn your responsibility and knowledge to reduce any risks to health and safety, promote additional services or products to clients, develop and maintain your effectiveness at work, provide facial skincare treatment, enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes, carry out waxing services and provide pedicure and manicure services.

You will be supervised by technical staff and assessed on your occupational competence.

Course content

• Facial Skin Care Treatment:
  • Providing cleansing, exfoliation and moisturisation to improve skin health.
  • Tailoring treatments to address specific skin concerns such as acne or ageing.
• Eyebrows Shaping / Tinting and Lashes Tinting:
  • Shaping eyebrows to enhance facial features using techniques like waxing or threading.
  • Tinting eyebrows and lashes for a defined and polished look.
• Waxing with Warm Wax and Hot Wax:
  • Performing hair removal using both warm wax and hot wax methods.
  • Ensuring smooth and effective hair removal while minimising discomfort.
• Nail Treatment (Manicure and Pedicure):
  • Offering manicure and pedicure services to improve nail health and appearance.
  • Including nail shaping, cuticle care and polish application.
• Health and Safety of the Workplace:
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Threading Service:
  • Providing eyebrow and facial hair removal using threading techniques.
  • Achieving precise and defined results with this traditional hair removal method.
• Salon Reception Duties:
  • Welcoming clients, scheduling appointments and managing bookings.
  • Handling customer inquiries and providing information about salon services.
• Promote Additional Products or Services to Customer:
  • Recommending skincare products or additional treatments based on client needs.
  • Upselling salon services to enhance the customer experience.
• Develop and Maintain Effectiveness at Work:
  • Continuously improving skills and knowledge through training and development.
  • Ensuring professionalism and efficiency in delivering salon services.
