Our Advanced Anti-Wrinkle Injections course is taught by our Advanced Nurse Practitioner and has been structured from start to finish with you in mind, to assure that when you complete your training, you will leave with the specialist skills to perform Anti-wrinkle Injections to the advanced areas of the face.

The aesthetic course covers the anatomy and physiology of the skin to ensure you have the knowledge and understanding of human related mechanisms that could have some involvement in the process of these treatments, and in order to aid in your knowledge of the procedures in Anti-Wrinkle Injections.

You will gain practical experience both in the classroom and working on live models.

Course content

Background of Anti-Wrinkle Product

• Understanding the formulation, mechanism of action and indications of anti-wrinkle products, such as botulinum toxin, in cosmetic treatments targeting facial wrinkles and lines.

Anatomy and Physiology

• Studying the structure and function of facial muscles, nerves and skin to comprehend the underlying anatomy that contributes to facial expressions and wrinkle formation.

Muscles of the Face

• Identifying and learning about the specific muscles responsible for facial movements and expressions, including their locations, functions and interactions.

Contraindications

• Recognising medical conditions, medications and lifestyle factors that may contraindicate anti-wrinkle treatments to ensure client safety and mitigate potential risks.

Consultation Process

• Developing skills in conducting thorough consultations to assess client concerns, expectations, medical history and suitability for anti-wrinkle injections.
