VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Enhancing Eyebrows with Microblading Techniques

At TABA UK we deliver Level 4 VTCT Microblading Course to offer students a higher level of qualification which is Ofqual registered and a worldwide recognised qualification.

The course is titled VTCT Certificate in Enhancing Eyebrows with Microblading Techniques. During this qualification students will engage with all theoretical aspects of Microblading through online learning, guided home study and in house training. Students will complete a substantial amount of hands-on live model practice allowing them to become experienced practitioners in all areas of Microblading.

Microblading is a manual form of semi-permanent make up whereby a small handheld tool is used to implant pigment into the dermis region of the skin to give the impression of natural hairstrokes. This is an incredibly popular treatment allowing both men and women to naturally enhance their brows.

During the aesthetic course, students will learn how to adapt hair stroke formations to suit clients. How to choose the correct blades to suit hair and skin types, and how to conduct effective consultations to ensure clients are suitable for treatment. Students will also learn about colour theory and how colour modifiers can be used to correct discoloured brows, how to avoid complications and how to effectively map brows using advanced mapping skills.

Course content

Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin

• Understanding skin structure, functions and how it relates to cosmetic procedures.

Health and Safety

• Implementing protocols to ensure a safe working environment for both practitioners and clients.

Legalities

• Familiarising with regulations and laws governing cosmetic procedures to operate within legal boundaries.

Colour Theory

• Learning about the principles of colour and how it applies to pigment selection for cosmetic enhancements.

Colour Correction

• Techniques to adjust and correct pigment colours to achieve desired results.

Contraindications

• Identifying conditions or circumstances that may make procedures unsuitable or risky for clients.

Consultation Process

• Conducting thorough assessments to understand client needs, preferences and medical history.

Pigment Choice

• Selecting appropriate pigments based on factors like skin tone, undertones and desired outcomes.

Practice Skin Work

• Hands-on practice on artificial skin to refine techniques before working on real clients.

Advanced Brow Mapping

• Advanced techniques to analyse facial features and create precise brow shapes that complement clients' natural features.

Additional information

Pre-study is essential to give you a basic knowledge of the Microblading techniques and theory before coming to train with us.

We will arrange all models for you unless you wish to bring a model of your own. They will still be charged our normal model fee to cover products and disposables.
