Our Ultimate Brows course comprises of both theory and practical elements on machine SPMU eyebrow, Microblading techniques, and Brow Wax and Tinting. All of our aesthetic courses have been structured from start to finish with you in mind, to assure that when you complete your training, you will leave with the specialist skills that will help you feel confident to perform different types of Machine Brows, microblading and Brow Shaping procedures.

In addition, the course covers the anatomy and physiology of the skin, as well as equipping you with an in-depth knowledge of colour theory and colour correction allowing you to become an advanced practitioner in your field.

You will gain practical experience both in the classroom and working on live models.

Course content

Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin

  • Understanding the structure, function, and characteristics of the skin, including its layers, appendages and physiological processes.

Health and Safety Legalities

  • Complying with regulations, laws and standards pertaining to health and safety in the context of cosmetic procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for both practitioners and clients.

Insurance

  • Obtaining professional liability insurance coverage to protect against potential risks and liabilities associated with providing cosmetic treatments, such as SPMU.

License Requirements

  • Meeting the necessary qualifications, training and licensing requirements mandated by regulatory bodies or authorities to practice SPMU legally and responsibly.

Background of SPMU

  • Exploring the history, evolution, and applications of Semi-Permanent Makeup (SPMU), including its techniques, tools and advancements in the field.

Colour Theory

  • Studying principles of colour theory and their application in SPMU, including pigment selection, blending and harmonisation with natural skin tones.

Colour Correction

  • Techniques for correcting or adjusting pigments in SPMU procedures to achieve desired colour outcomes and address irregularities or mismatches.

Pigment Choice and Use of Modifiers

  • Selecting suitable pigments and modifiers for different skin types, tones and treatment areas in SPMU to achieve optimal results.

Evaluating Skin Types

  • Assessing and categorising different skin types based on factors such as texture, tone and sensitivity to inform treatment planning and pigment selection.

Contraindications

  • Identifying conditions or factors that may preclude individuals from undergoing SPMU procedures safely, such as skin conditions, allergies or medical considerations.

Consultation Process

  • Conducting thorough consultations with clients to assess their suitability for SPMU, discuss treatment goals and expectations and obtain informed consent.

Needle Configuration

Equipment and Patch Testing

Live Demonstrations

  • Observing or participating in live demonstrations of SPMU procedures under the guidance of experienced practitioners to enhance learning and skill acquisition.

Live Model Experience

  • Gaining hands-on experience by performing SPMU procedures on live models, under supervision, to refine techniques and build competence.

Aftercare

  • Providing clients with comprehensive aftercare instructions and advice to promote proper healing, minimise complications and prolong the longevity of SPMU results.
